Street photography with Leica cameras

If your dream was always to use a Leica camera, now you have the opportunity to make it real.

Choose from different models, Leica i, Leica ii, Leica M2, Leica M3, Leica M4, Leica M6 or Leica MP.

I learned from my master that is not about sharpness or pixels, it is about soul and emotions. Concentrate more in the situation and less in the equipment. If you manage to show your own soul, then your pictures will be really powerful.

For whom is intended?

The course is intended for any photographer interested in increasing its knowledge about street and documentary photography.

How will it happen?

For this course we selected the city of Brno, so we will be walking its streets and interesting places where the excitement of the city happens.

During Saturday and Sunday of a weekend, we will go through the following steps:

• Short explanation about street photography and its origins. We will see some examples of master photographers.
• Team activity to learn the difference between "take photos" and "make photos".
• Training on usage of a Leica rangefinder camera.
• Go out in the city to "make photos". We will visit some interesting places and learn about composition, emotions, feelings and decisive moments.
• Portfolio review, including photos from the workshop.
• Dark room basic knowledge training.

What will you learn during the workshop?

• Understanding the concepts of documentary photography.
• Find your own style based on the photography masters.
• To create a story based on your photographic view.
• The use of a Leica rangefinder camera.
• Understanding about light and light behavior.
• You will be able to use a Leica dark room. I will develop your films if required.
• You will learn the basics of film development and scanning or photo enlargement.

Is also ok if you bring your own camera.
